# Father - Sylendril Kerasaulm
> [!NOTE] Base info
> **Personality**: Charismatic and impulsive
> **Age**: ~390
> **Season:** Usually, Autumn sometimes spring
> **Occupation/role:** Some sort of trader, travelling around the Feywild on various errands. This was why he was so often absent. He also had much influence on the council.
## Memories
Father always knew how to make me laugh, even when I was feeling down, you could say he had a knack for it.
He would bring back interesting trinkets and toys from his travels. Once he gave me a lantern that projected small, lifelike illusions of various critters and plants. I spent hours playing with it before grandmother confiscated it for being "unnatural magic". I was quite put out.
The reason he travelled so much is that he was a travelling trader, he visited Eladrin settlements throughout the feywild and material plane to buy and sell rare trinkets. He was also in charge of collecting *things* for the tithe, our yearly donation to the [[the archfey|archfey]]. I was never told what said *things* were though.
As one of the main contributor to the tithe he had some influence on the council. Thanks to that and the fact that he was a generally charismatic figure people turned a blind eye to his various eccentricities.
Like how many kids he had, or the fact he'd remarried.
### Parties
Another one of his oddities were the parties.
Before leaving for his trips, there would always be some kind of festivity. Our house would come alive with friends, family, and more. There would be food, a mix of traditional elven preparations and some of the exotic treats he brought back from his travels. They were exciting events, there would be music, dancing and shows of pretty magic that lit up the woods in multicoloured light.
I have no doubts now that this was mostly just an opportunity for father to play his games of favours. But these are some of the fondest memories I have of that time.
## Fate
During one of these festivities the curse suddenly overcame him completely. He was killed by the city watch. Not before taking the lives of two of the guests.
