# Mother - Lyraenis
> [!NOTE] Base info
> **Personality:** Wild, Jovial but fierce
> **Age:** ~410
> **Season:** Summer at all times
> **Occupation:** Some kind of mercenary originally, that is how she met Sylendril. They would often travel together, she would serve as a bodyguard to him. Even then she would still take on the odd job on her own.
## Memories
Lyraenis was a bit of a misfit, she looked and talked a little different to most Eladrin at Saulm's. Whether it was the fiery glow in her eyes or the sharp angles her face would get when she was angry. There was something different about her. I was told that this was because her father wasn't an Eladrin.
When she was away, she would regularly send me messages or letters where she would tell me about the beautiful things she'd seen and the beasts she'd hunted in great detail.
---
She was a formidable fighter and hunter.
Once, after months of [[Brother - Kaelesil|Kel]] and me pestering her about it, she took us "hunting". Despite her reluctance, she was a good teacher. She taught us about stuff like how to notice other fey domains and which ones to avoid, which sounds meant you should run and which meant you should hide. She also taught us how to identify magical flora, which plants could ensnare which might help you.
Among those, a certain type of glowmoss, whose colour would change depending on the emotions of nearby creatures, was apparently a great tool for hunting. She taught us that if approached with a carefully blank mind, its colour might tell you if a beast had passed by recently, and whether it was predator or prey.
We were so engrossed in it that we didn't notice until the last moment that we had been surrounded by a pack of yeth hounds. This could've ended very badly. But before Kel and I could even react, three of the hounds had been shot dead. I hadn't even seen her draw her bow or take aim. The rest of them quickly fled.
It's a side of her I'd never seen before.
## Fate
She transformed a couple week after Father, her blighted form as dangerous you would expect.
It took many lives to stop her, too many; the distrust people already felt towards my family turned to resentment, and even hate. We were on our own from that point onwards.
